Thank You, Indigo

I have always thought of writing as something that I do because I can't imagine not doing it. Of course, I also want to be read, to be understood, to have someone say, "I know what you mean." That is why it was such a delightful gift to find that Indigo, Scream Quietly, listed my blog among her seven picks for the Marie Antoinette, A Real Person, A Real Award. I don't know the origins of the award, but I accept it with humility.

I am delighted because Indigo is herself a writer that makes me nod my head in understanding on a regular basis. I am also thrilled to be in the company of Indigo's other award recipients, all of whom write with clarity, depth, and a good dose of well placed humor.

In addition to saying thank you for the award, I must also make my own nominations. Not an easy task to choose seven out of the many fine bloggers out there.

Here are the Rules for the Award:

1. Please put the logo on your blog
2. Place a link to the person from whom you received the award
3. Nominate at least 7 or more blogs
4. Put the links of those blogs on your blog
5. Leave a message on their blogs to tell them.

I nominate the following blogs for this award:

Diary of a Podgy Poof

Latent Thoughts

The Self-Sufficient Steward

Kickin Tina

Prison's A Bitch

Isn't She Great

Random Threads

Congrats, Sheria! Very much deserved. You became one of my faves the first time I found your journal at AOL. I love Indigo, too! I'm a new reader of her blog but also catch myself nodding while reading her blog.

I will click on the links you provided and check out your seven picks.

If I don't get a chance to swing back by here, I hope you have a very blessed Thanksgiving. I know it'll be difficult for you, being the first without your mom. Please know you'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

Many Hugs -

Congratulations, Sheria! It meant a lot to me, too, coming from Indigo. To have someone whose writing leaves you in awe turn around and say, "I like your writing" is a shock to the system!

I'll be sure to check out the links of those I don't read already. Have a lovely week!

Love, Beth

See, and you chose the blogs I would have chosen if I wasn't such a contrarian curmudgeon.

Sheria,
Thank you for including me in your list and award! I'm glad I am out doing a weeks worth of catch up this morning, I might have missed my surprise~~~
There are some new journals for me to go take a peek at as well and with your endorsement I'm sure I'll like them.

I am so honored, and will have to do something about this! BTW, love your latest lady fanning herself under the palm tree. Then again, I loved your Obama dancing lady, also.

Thanks, dearie (a word saved for, yanno, only special ones).
